The Mirepoix Gang

A dear friend of mine–after receiving my DC dining suggestions for an upcoming trip to that fair city–suggested I put some creative energy into a restaurant review blog.  I like to eat out, I look to cook.  I like lamb carpaccio, I like McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish sandwiches.  I am not a perfect foodie because truly fearless eating is inhibited by…my texture issues.

I am not particularly proficient with a camera and I don’t like agonizing about lighting over steaming deliciousness, fighting the urge to consume with kraken-like voracity. Any pictures are first-shot/haphazard–let’s slap a valencia filter on it and call it a day.

Non-food miscellany is nigh inevitable, but the main thrust of this thing is and will always be the St. Louis dining and tippling scene.  When I run out of places to explore and catalogue, that’s when I’ll stop writing.

Good Morning! Thanks for checking out my blog. By the way, I am now thoroughly intrigued by your posts! We went to Pasteria last night, but only after checking out your review first 🙂 The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was fun. I look forward to reading more of your stuff and maybe a Mystery Meet?!!!
