GARLIC!! – For real, try peeling it this way.

This. Blew.  My. Mind.

Essentially, you put cloves of garlic in between two bowls and shake them like crazy (literally for like ten seconds), and magically you will have denuded garlic.  I had my doubts.  Yeah, maybe it’ll work on big, honking cloves that are already easy to peel, but what about those tiny, innermost cloves?  Well, I took a handful of those little hard-to-peel brats, put them in between two bowls (plastic and much smaller than those used in the Saveur video), and boom shaka laka, the chaff was separated.  And no sticky fingers!

I tend to at least double amounts of garlic called for in recipes or add it in when it’s not called for, so this pretty much changes my life.  Like whoa.
